No DLC Build guide

Ive had this game for years but barely played it, looking to give it another try but i cant seem to find (or be confident) that a build guide requires no DLC.
I have ARGP exp in POE,Diablo but i would still like a build thats easy to play,tanky and of course fun!

Links would be great,i could just wing it but ive found that doesnt always work out and will likely put me off the game.
Would appreciate constructive help with this

Google will always be my friend, ive been looking for 3 hours and watching videos and as a complete newbie to the game im not confiddent any of the builds ive seen require no DLC or are up to date which is why ive put myself to the mercy of the steam forum to get advice

Thanks for the added input, ive had a look at the builds from the link that SkyFall posted and after reading your edited post im going to give this a try https://www.grimtools.com/calc/4ZD41kZ7

If i can enjoy the game for a few hours i might try some other builds, i like the sound of " Conjurer is just the best PET-build and the strongest build of the game ;)" not just as it`s the strongest but ive always liked summons/pet builds (or does PET mean something different?)

Hope you enjoy it. Bear in mind that the builds in the base game compendium are very old and may have a lot of things that changed since they were made.

She makes quite lazy builds so you'll be standing around watching most of the time. There is a base game build in there somewhere.
