Finally got the Necklace from trying once on Elite difficulty!

Hmm, it drops only from Ellena, in Hargate's Laboratory. You can only farm her.

Yea, I was just wondering if level difference could change the drop chance, or any other factors that could change it.

It will start dropping once she is level 35 or above. Other than that, her level influences the level of her necklace and its affixes (94 obviously granting you the best version).

As for the chance per se, she has 65% chance of dropping something, and 60% chance (of that 65%) to drop the necklace.

or you could farm crusible. got many of those from there, never farmed Hargate's Laboratory. don't even go there ever, just a waste of time.

Any idea on how far you need to go in Crucible mode in order for there to be a decent drop chance?

Nope, don't remember exactly. She appears at some waves before 100 even. Will there be good drop rate, not sure. I mostly farm for legendaries there, not always pick greens. Just happened to get a bunch of those from runs there along with golus rings, nemesis shoulders and good pants.

I'd probably run 100-150, 130-150 farming for it.
150-170 is much harder solo and more time consuming + not sure how often she appears there. On some waves she seems to appear almost always, just don't remember exactly which. Haven't targeted her ever.

I would hardly call it a waste of time. It's a fairly short dungeon, with a trove, a supreme chest and a good chance to get that amulet.

Of course the Crucible offers better loot, but some people (like me) might also find it to be terribly boring. I guess it's subjective in the end.

Of course the Crucible offers better loot, but some people (like me) might also find it to be terribly boring. I guess it's subjective in the end.

Im with you I just cant stomach crucible, even when I gird my loins for it. I usually hit the 10 to 15 minute mark and am done with it, even if I force myself to continue I end up playing like a putz (more of a putz than normal) and getting myself killed cause I totally lose concentration.

If your farming MIs generally its a good source (crucible) but if you specifically want elenas necklace id just spend and hour speed running hargates (which you can do in about 5 minutes) personally. Once you learn the layout you can bypass 90% of the trash and annoying ground effects there and just get to the final room asap.

Thank you! I have tried farming her on Normal Mode (I'm level 75 Soldier/Demolitionist) and even I am noticing the poison floor to be OP lol. I appreciate all the advice guys! Let's see if I can do Crucible mode all the way to 150 or so. (Might be hard for my build honestly, but worth a shot of course)

You should be able to run it no probs at level 75. There is only really two spots in the first dungeon where you have to watch where you step. Most of it is small areas of toxin floor TBH. just clear out the enemies before you try to cross the long runs of bad floor and you should have no problems.
