Transparent map overlay?

Could that be implemented? Is that one of the comfort thing comming with the expansion? I would like that instead of pushing m on all time.(Excellent micro dlc too)

If I remember correctly, it was a conscious design decision as they created a beautiful, detailed world and didn't want the game to be played with a map overlay over everything for the entire time the game is played.

It is kind of a tough thing. The map is obviously important as a convenience, but I see the point of not wanting the game to be played from the overlay. As it is, I find myself pretty consistently bringing up the map every few seconds (more out of habit than need).

Who knows, things change over time. Maybe they have changed their minds and it is something we will see in the next expanion.

Also, change that hotkey man. Pressing M all the time seems awkward.
