any lazy builds that are good?
Hi,

I'm considering getting game for long term play however wondering if there are any really good classes/builds that are for the lazy casual player.

I enjoy games that I can do well by relying on only 1 to 3 active skills and much prefer range as I tend to die a lot when I'm melee!

Game looks good but without something fairly lazy/easy I wont put a lot of time into it. I'm getting old and my twitch capabilities are gone so managing many skills and executing quickly are things I'm no longer interested in doing haha

tks

Pet necromancer is for you. I am playng pet (better say zoo) defiler (necro+demo) - it is awful. Necro + shaman or necro+occultist would be much better.

Basicly gamplay is : you come to location, open chest, admire some graphics, sometimes recasting fallen pets and inspect loot. Bosses are great problem for me, cause I lack some good curses

I would recommend anything else than pet builds. They might start lazy, but as you level up the gameplay is gonna be far from lazy. Ranged builds in general are pretty easy as are most melee builds. Casters vary a lot.

suppose one could consider a turtle retaliation build the most lazy, just stand there and do nothing and let stuff kill themselves.... ? /shrug
with how ridic Oathkeeper is currently i'm sure there is a viable retal build that wont require much but like 1 temp buff button and left click?, but might have to get moving fast -before Zantai digs out the nerf-bat from the closet :cwat:

There is a retaliation build (ultimate lazy build) but they do run into trouble with ranged enemies.

Currently using a bwc shieldbreaker build (originally commando build) and it is indeed a lazy build and not optimized so more room for improvement. 3 active skills (bwc, hellfire mine and ascension). fairly tanky and good damage. So far I have easily dispatched valadaran, moosilauke and bennjhar many times on ultimate (with kiting of course). zero deaths. I'm halfway through malmouth and forgotten gods (jumped to forgotten gods to unlock transmute). Basically with this build you just run around and every trash monster that slaps you gets fried to a crisp due to proccing multiple fire/burn skills. For more tougher monsters use ascension, then lob a hellfire mine, follow up with bwc. also amazing for kiting due to the nature of this build. It does use a shard of beronath for the default attack skill (adds additional elemental damage and total damage)

I'd second the notion of making a pet build for lazy playing fun. And like the OP, I'm old and have less handy hands for twitchy shooter-ish games. In GD I made a Cabalist (necro+occultist pet build) and a Ritualist (necro+shaman pet build) that seem very beginning user/less twitch friendly.

To really make it a cake walk you can level up your toons in Crucible or Shattered Realm but keep in mind that you'll miss out on the challenging fun aspect and side areas/stuff when flying through the beginning areas.

You still need to be mindful of resists, health, armor, and defense. Still, when starting out you'll be plowing over most all of Acts 1 & 2 except bosses and aetherfire patches. They should have added a flash mob dance routine animation for idle minions every 5 seconds.

I am using a Cabalist. It's a tad too easy as times. I wish I knew how to create a (psn) nova character. Just like D2 Necro. PSN nova, a lower resist curse and perhaps a pet.

I'm playing a lazy Warlord build. Four or five auras/toggle skills to precast, then all I have is a left-click, a righ-click, and Overguard to refresh during fights. Still wrecks face (but not as much as the more optimized physical retaliation Warlords, obviously).

Pet build is laziest, Retaliation builds are second laziest. You might still need to tag your temporary buffs periodically, but retaliation builds are mostly about sitting there, tanking hits, while the enemy kills itself attacking you.

I believe spin2win fits the description too. You don't even have to stop to fight.

pet build you still need to piano away to be efficient with your buffs and debuffs, you not gonna survive otherwise in Ultimate. Not to mention pet attack button to get rid of problematic targets.

Best lazy build is probably retaliation or eye of reckoning since you can just press a mouse button and never worry about dying.

I would say best lazy build is using a gaming mouse
It doesnt matter if 1 or 20 active skills when they are all bound to a mouse button

Makes this game (and all others...) 1000% better for lazy people
Also makes you better at gaming as it is much faster and less prone to misclicks

if you dont like pets, Inquisitor+Demolitionist is the most ranged "left click to victory" combination ever created

thanks all, lots for me to read up on before I get going

imo like stated above, pet builds are among the hardest build to be used as you have to move yourself around AND the pets at the same time with pet atk. Later on you cannot just let pets stand in damage pools or you might have to focus down an enemy (usually the enemy healer) so its a ton of micromanagement, good for people who love crazy mircromanagement but not good for a lazy build.

Easiest imo at the moment is retalation warlord or retalation anything imo, you just have to let enemies hit you and they kill themselves on you all the while you hit enemies with your default attack, whatever you set it to. Not only that but retalation chars are very tanky and dont need as much kiting as say a gunner or mage. Usually doesnt have many buttons to press as well.
