Short answer, no. The devs aren't adding hirelings/mercenaries.

Why so angry about this?

I loved having hirelings in Diablo 2, because you could outfit them with gear; can't do that with pets. You could take a spear guy and make him a bunch of different ways in order to complement your build (although Vamp Gaze/etc was almost a staple :P). It added a lot to build strategy.

Please, stop reading emtions into things, that are not there, child. I am not angry. I just emphatically am against having hirelings in this game. Plenty of other ones out there if you need to scratch that itch, and plenty of pet builds to be made in thisgame if you needs to have companions. Seriously, if you want a game just like D2, go play D2...

I know it was just a joke but they made it look so awesome.

I think they need to take advantage of the Diablo Immortal fun this coming April and capitalize on it just like Blizzard did in 2014! Who knew the future would be so bright?

The territory is ripe for the picking and I know Crate could show them up on this. I bet they could even get Red Shirt Guy[www.twitch.tv] in on the fun.. he's even been playing GD now some :)

Yea, like someone said above you cant equip gear in pets...
And pets are just pets... its scary to be lonely out there in the swamps...
Also d2 and d3 hirelings are very good :)

The only things missing in this game is:

* Hirelings

* A search system for stash...

* Level grind (lvl 90-100 much slower) or Something like D3 paragon. I usualy delete games once i reach max level, I dont have any fun to play for "gear"... Once i get to level 80-90 im gonna try to find or make a mod to change the exp charts...
