What? You never go hostile with the 3 Witch God factions. Changing from one to another on a different difficulty may affect your rep with them a bit, but it's not going to hit it the same way changing from Kymon's to the Order will.
All i meant with it was if i chose Death Vigil on Normal and then pick kymon on Elite would that impact my rep with Death vigil
so if you have Death Vigil rep already on Norm/Vet, then pick Kymon on Elite, your death vigil status will get reset, to negative, and you will now be friendly with Kymon but enemies with Death Vigil -vice versa too ofc if switching again ex on Ultimate
^faction choise only matters for Augments, that is it, and neither faction has really special augments for lvl 100 chars (rarely do i see build use Kymon/Vigil augments); so your choice in faction should mainly be "what you like", be it gear, augment or just story/lore connection through your playthrough
someone mentioned witch cults in forgotten gods. Cults are different that you don't become enemies with anyone when you pick one. But you can only still pick one Cult faction per playthrough to do quest with (but you will get rep with all 3 factions regardless). Which Forgotten Gods witch Cult you side with, Solael, Bysmiel, Dreeg, only matters in regards to which quests you get/achievements you can complete per playthrough. Eventually you will get shared rep to Revered with all 3 factions and get all faction items/augments regardless which cult you chose.
I am not sure what happens if you single class (non Necromancer) up until you can join
Kymon's, join them, and then choose Necromancer as your second Mastery.
Simply as that , you turn hostile, and if your character got not another difficulty playthrough it can not change allies or foes again. That's specific to these 2
Gnuff Gnome pointed that out well(Hope you appreciate the none 1337)
and medea pointed out the Witchcults got an agreemant at least about the conclave and are more a bunch against another then a bunch against bunches which else are sideable as kymons or the order.
