How to open the Gates of Anguish?

I have the skeleton key already but I can't open the Gates of Anguish. Should I do to open the door?

If you've died in there this play session you can't open the door again. It's one time only per play session.

Never going in their again. .was doing so well with my new build..a witchblade on veteran...think i was level 48 or 49 and had'nt died once..until i entered that cursed place
. . And i was so hesitant. .especially after how the ghost said something about nothing encountered so far will match the challenge.. well he muttered something like that. (. .and he was'nt kidding) .Why did i not listen. . .be brave for once i told myself. .oh well. .lucky i was'nt on hardcore. .

It's the first of the rogue-like dungeons in the game. They all need skeleton keys so don't venture in unless you're sure you want to try them.
