Flame touched help
I'm a new player to this game and currently a little confused about this skill.
So how does this skill exactly work? What does it mean by energy conserved?
what does aura mean and how it's radius matter? And it says something about retaliation bit there is no retaliation modifier after toggling this skill.
Thanks for reading

It works by you putting it on a hotkey, clicking on it and forgetting about it basically. It's an aura which surrounds your character dealing damage. Energy reserved means that the amount will be locked off on your energy bar. Radius - the bigger the better - farther away from you damaging enemies sooner.

so if the enemy comes inside the aura, it will automatically get fire damage even if I don't attack at all? but after activating it, it doesn't give any retaliation bonuses.
Yes. Retaliation I can't help with; I don't understand game mechanics.

I think it adds flat fire damage to all your attacks that have weapon damage, and then in addition % damage bonuses to everything with correct element. I don't think it has anything to do with retaliation, and that the skill description is just flawed.

so what's the point of the aura range if it doesn't automatically attack enemies? After the weapon damage boost, what's it range do and why does it matter?

I think the text is a leftover from a previous iteration. The first part used to have retaliation, but it was shifted to the upgrade.

If you have allies(other players) or pets, they benefit from your aura's damage buffs.

Flame touched doesn't add retalliation unless you also put points into temper.

It adds damage to all your attacks that use %weapon damage and to allies within range. Energy reserved is a portion of your energy bar that can't be used because the skill is taking it.

Guys, if you're not sure don't post. You just spread misinformation.

Energy conserved means the skill when activated reserves a portion of your energy until it is deactivated.

Aura usually means something that you cast on yourself and the range means any friends or monsters in the range will be affected by it. Flame Touched is a beneficial aura that gives you and every friendly in the range the bonus listed in the skill.

Retaliation damage is the amount of damage enemy will receive when they hit you with melee attack, you can see the retaliation part in Temper.

Flame touched is nice for adding fire damage to pets. If you are a Necromancer/Demolitionist (aka Defiler), your skeletons, for example, will also do fire damage,

Flaming skeletons! Yes, please!
