Keyboard&Mouse Control
I haven't played this game since, oh, about before Ashes of Malmouth came out. So the dlc isn't my question - but when I did play I used the Steam Controller. Now I got an office and can use a keyboard/mouse and holy crap - these are strange controls. Is there any quick guide in understanding the flow of this? On the Controller I moved with the stick, this click and move or holding doing A is strange to me.

I have a 4 button mouse (plus center wheel but I try to avoid that) and a regular keyboard. Any tips for a Pyromancer?

It's simple. Use the mouse to move (left-click), hold Shift if you want to be rooted in place for any reason, assign skills to your skillbar and press the associated number to use them.

Open up Options>Keybindings to peruse/learn and configure controls to more suit you.

Mouse: leftclick for standard attack and moving, right click for health option. 1 through 5 for most used skills. C for character sheet / inventory and s for skills and devotions. That's the basics at least. Oh, and w for weaponswap.

What powbam said is accurate as you noted but I'll add my 2c:

1) Try assigning the move-only "skill" to left or right click if you want more precision in combat and aren't playing a piano build. It might not suit you, you might not have the spare hotkeys, but that's okay.

2) Get rid of the number key bindings for skills if you're used to WASD (unless you're using your number pad I guess) or any other more ergonomic control option. Number keys are easy for newbies to grasp and kind of traditional for the genre but they stink. I like D = 1, S = 2, A =3, plus F, R, E, W, Q to whatever and maybe 1 & 2 for stuff you really don't use often like aether clusters and your favorite buff potion. Keep permanent buffs/auras/immortal pets on your 2nd skill bar.

3) There are already hotkeys set aside for mana and health potions so dump those from the skill bar. I use Z and X for those - that might even be the default.

4) Reassign the weapon swap and "hide items toggle" hotkeys to something on the opposite end of the keyboard from anything you'll use frequently. This way you'll never have a problem with your weapons or drops "disappearing" because the defaults are too accessible.
