Faster way to get some Tainted Brain Matter?

Unfortunately I accepted a bounty where the inventor in DC wants a Calamity relic and it calls for a tainted brain matter. Problem is I'll probably want to use that for something else when I find it. Accepted the bounty without thinking. Any ways to get them higher chance maybe dismantling some epic items? Can I not go back and fight the Warden again - does he even respawn

the warden respawns when you load the game again, problem would be if you out level enemies too hard they don't drop crafting materials

Not to mention that was a hard fight. I don't even think I'm over his level since he was quite far ahead of me and it hasn't been that long.
Do epics have a higher chance of dismantle dropping these than rares

Warden/monsters will only drop Tainted Brain matter/purple crafting mats so long as you are no more than 10lvls above monsters.
Tainted Brain matter farm is usually best in Wardens Lab due to the number of Aetherial heroes and quick access boss there
you can also craft it at blacksmith if you have the recipe, requries 1 blood of Ct'thon
Horus (Necropolis BS) will also craft tainted brain matter i think, but for 1 Ancient Heart. Note: Horus does not appear on Normal/Veteran difficulty

If you only need 1, Warden's Lab is probably quickest, but your overall best source of brains "over time" will probably be from blowing up Epics as they come there pretty frequently. But for "immediate need" it's ofc a bit unreliable to bet on getting a brain from dismantling "naow", but cna happen ofc

Well I held on to all the epics I wasn't going to use for exactly a reason like this. I blew up a few so far nothing

doing laps around the mountain deeps for the trove spawn is a good way to get it if you've outlvled the warden

Ugh been grinding for a while still nothing, mostly blowing up epics but did Warden and Darius and all of the hero bosses in each level

Guess I'll have to just wait til I find another.Kinda sucks because reward for the bounty is 1 blood of Cthon and I already have 2, and no recipes to use the darn blood with

Just blow any green you can find, from my experience it didn't have any different from blowing green or epic

I didn't really start needing them much until I had access to Horrus in the Gates of Necropolis, and then I just would use him to change the items around to whichever one I needed at the time.

You can get some dismantling items over epic (for sure from set items sometimes). I don't really think doing it that way is worth the dynamite you go through though.

You run into way more heroes and therefore end up with more chances to get it if you're playing in Veteran mode, so if you're playing in normal you may want to change to Veteran to try and get it.

Yeah I got a blood of Chthon from dismantling a set item. Then I had to go and make sure I had some extra dynamite. Speaking of which is it possible to craft dynamite.

As far as I know, you cannot craft dynamite. There are places you can go that drop it fairly frequently. Whacking Darius Cronley and his lieutenants usually drops some, for example.

can be crafted, just not by the first blacksmith, you need the one in Conclave of the Three or Homestead at the earliest iirc
-it's sorta the game's way of "poking" you in the direction of finding dynamite in the world, before you just craft a stack
