Does Steam Price-Match?
I was just perusing through Good Ol' Games Galaxy today and noticed that they have Grim Dawn in their catalog. What I found interesting was that GoG is offering the base game for HALF of what Steam is asking for it (€12.49 vs. €24.99). Not only that, but if you purchase the base game and both DLC packs from GoG, you still pay less than what steam is asking for just the base game (base game + 2 DLC packs=€22.67).

In light of this I have to ask; Does Steam price-match in cases like this?

Sales on other sites ect dose not run over to steam unless it's said so on the front page och other ways. So get it where you can find it cheapest.

It is also on sale through the Humble store for 50% off for the next 22 hours. That will get you a Steam key if you really want one.

The Crucible add-on is on sale as well if you're looking to pick it up also.

It is worth mentioning that I hear the multiplayer community is barebones in comparison to Steam for GoG version. If you are wanting to do more of the MP thing with the game it's worth to keep that in mind. The Humble version is on sale as noted above and nets you a Steam key so you can still go that route and get it on sale for Steam by proxy.

Edit: looks like he already snagged the game up

I got this game through kickstarter and I'm proud I did but since I've had my taste of Steam's Community Moderators and how easy they can get away with lies and power abuse even after getting in contact with Steam support multiple times, I've been buying my games elsewhere and also much cheaper. Before that I always bought all my games from the Steam Store itself so they lost a pretty good customer since I bought a lot of games at release day or even as pre-order.

Anyway, that's my story, otherwise I would say just support the developers and get the game from steam or wait for a sale, now I say just buy a steamkey if you want to have your games on Steam from the developer's official website themself or from a third party like instant gaming ;)
