traditional spell casting?
Been looking around, but can't find much in the way of spell casting. Nearly everything that I come across is the same auto attack with buffs.

I came up with my own, its pox, some eye of dredge thing, and a shaman spell that increases bleed.

But I find myself getting bored of the same two spells.

Anyone know of a fun sorcery build that's not heavily reliant on auto attacks?

Are you sure you are playing the right class? Most of them only have one auto attack replacer. The shamen only has one as well. He has like four abilities you can use and one of them is a pet.

The Sham's auto replacer is Savaregy.
He has six active skills you can use and one summon skill
His active skills are Primal Strike, Devouring Swarm, Wind Devil, Grasping Vine, Wendigo Totem, and Storm Totem.
How many in a single class do you want?

No, I am not. That is why I'm asking which ones I should be looking into.

I don't think you know what you are really looking for. Are you looking for stuff like fireball and mage armor or stuff from WoW? GD magic isn't like those. What level have you gotten to?

18. Yeah, fireballs, lightning storms, stuff like that. Does this game have a sorcery class like that? Right now, I'm an occultist. mainly a dot damage spell that passes to enemies, and an aoe poison blob.

It's just a matter of naming convention. Name Callidors 'Ring of fire', devastation 'Aetherstorm', Primal Strike 'Ligthning Rage' and voila, you have you D&D/WoW spells

Arcanist.

Arcanist: magic missiles, energy shields, calling down meteors, aether/fire and frost novas, death ray.

Mix with occultist for acid ball, plague, dark lightning(void bolt), life leech field(sigil).

Mix with shaman for more lightning, use a gun for farcasting primal strike with modifier for rolling bursts of chain lightning, summon wind devils, drop totems for life sapping and lighting aoe fields.

Mix with demolitionist for alchemic and sorcerous fire effects and explosives such as flame aoe field(blackwater cocktail), flame pylon traps(thermite mine) blinding burst(grenado with modifier) targeted meteor storm (mortar trap)

thanks

Vitality Conjurer, using Sigil of Consumption, Doom Bolt to snipe healers, Curse of Frailty, Blood of Dreeg, Devouring Swarm for the RR, and both totems (with Corrupted Storm obviously), plus toggle skills and whatever you get from equips and augments. Somewhat out of fashion now that Cabalists exist, but still good, and you'll wish you had more fingers for all that.

and statpoints, too :-D

Arcanist is the "classic" spellcaster mastery, which I like to pair with Demolitionist or Shaman. If you have the DLC, the Inquisitor or the Necromancer is also a good choice.
