I love shamans but it would be cool to mess with new class more.
paladin def isnt bad as you get the ranged stuff from inquistor and vire might can be used with guns to put more distance on enemies and smite is useable with guns for a 100% pierce chance. I guess it could be tankier if you use 1 handed gun and a shield. Though idk how its going to be able to make use of retaltion oathbearer can give
tactian is much more tanky and is 1 char that can hit 100% chances of a move procing and has very high oa/da and soldier passives make you more tanky and you dont have to go cadence but cadence is an option. Sometimes though i see the main attack be something from a relic as you can get decent on hit with some relics and theres runebinder spellthrower weapon that can give you another atk replacer if you want to do runebinder build
vindicator has the really strong savegry which gets crazy with mythical bloodrager cowl. It has more resists down which is king in grim dawn, lowering enemy resists greatly boosts your dps, and this combo is built for 2 handed with very high chances of a wps going off. It's def the dps option if you can get the needed gear and one of the strongest 2 handed choice still. Also this class levels so easily to 100, just use primal strike as that helps with leveling and switch to savergy later to make use of inquistor procs.
Tactician is pretty tanky, I'd personally go 2h ranged for it. Cadence, while the big hit does proc every 3rd attack, with enough points, it has 100% chance to pierce through enemies and will do nice damage. However, if you don't want cadence, there are a couple elemental options that will work. Beronath's Fury from the Beronath's shard component, or Runic Bolts from the Runebinder Spellthrower. Both deal mainly elemental damage, but can be converted with other gear. I tried a piercing damage demon hunter themed tactician, with cadence + silverbolt (2h crossbow), and it easily hit 100-400k on cthonians. Fun times
Paladin, is also doable, especially fire. I'd use the Stronghold set with it (pistol, shield and belt).
I couldn't really say. I guess it depends on your build, but I haven't dabbled that much in range. Inquisitor Seal is already pretty good for mobs and after, that a good defensive ability and some life leech will get you a long way. Vindicator is propably the safer bet of the two as far as tankiness go and I believe Paladin you will get higher damage, crits and some great dots.
