Defeating Mogdrogen does not grant a Devotion point.
OK I think I phrased it wrong.
When we go in the void to get the remains - only one person can pick it up and the others do not get an item. Once the item is put in shrine - only host gets the point.
Did you perhaps happen to be far away from the host when he restored the shrine?
Sorry for the confusion, the issue is not fighting and defeating Mogdrogen. The first problem is the collection of the quest items in MP, in the two-person games we have played only one player can collect the runed stone (and possibly the spirit) from the Ashen Wastes, so no progress shows on the quest for the other player. If the other player then goes and grabs the quest items from his solo play and we try to turn the items in at the shrine only the host player receives the devotion point. And the other player cannot go back into his game to get the devotion point since the quest now shows as completed.
Didnt get the Devotion point vor Rhowari Legacy quest
The singular / only-one-copy-drop of the quest materials like the Runed Stone of Mogdrogen has been going on 100% of the times I can recall in multiplayer, both in quest lock-step games and random host / guest MP back to at least 2016.
Spirit/Runed Stone of Modrogen vs. Multiplayer
RHOWARI LEGACY quest problem with multiplayer session
The game froze while I had recently picked up Spirit of Mogdrogen. I logged back in and... I have a Spirit of Mogdrogen, in inventory, and there is a new Spirit of Mogdrogen where the first was originally.
Now I can't find Moggy's Stone thingy. Looked all over the three outer planes that I could access with the red rifts.
Update: The above issue fixed itself after... two or three; reboots. I did test to see if the issue happened on the Windows side. It did. Now it's fixed. I don't know how. The missing item appeared right where it was supposed to. It worked as expected when I clicked on it. Quest complete. Then the sequel.
Now I have a bugged Bounty: Kymon's Secret -- Search for the Eye of Korvaak. This is in single player mode. I've completed this quest once. Now I can't access the Eye in the secret location in the tomb. I can't abandon a Bounty quest. I tried a bunch of reboots and even tried running through the issue with the game installed on a different computer.. one running Windows 11. So it's not Proton or Linux... it's the game.
It would be nice if the developers came up with a script or some kind of simple gui utility to scrub and repair quests or at least cancel them when they bug up play.
