People are farming ~75 and I think I read about someone getting to 90.
oh noez now you don't get to satisfy your e-peen whatever will you do
I am at shards 50+ and sometimes I need to start over again, because even kiting is impossible for my character with 14k hp.....
I really dont like this, I would prefer more boss figths with less kiting and more mechanics with dodging.....this is literally only kiting, kiting and again kiting......
I don´t want to have only tanky character to go forward, it shouldnt be like that.....I hope that they will change it later.....
Exactly, I was running in circles and hoping I survive long enough to kill something. If randomness will kill off half my runs I will just not play.
Yes, the run I mentioned was started pn 30,and since I never got to looting I didn't unlock the new craft. (assuming there is one for 45)
I think save point are every 5 levels till 50 and then every 10 levels ? i dont know, but I am lvl 50+ and I can play lvl 50 or lvl 60 shard with crafted item.
I think the only change id like to see is bigger boss rooms they are too constricted and it feels a bit annoying for casters or ranged toons, it heavily favours melee tanks or melee dps cannons
I'm playing a melee/caster hybrid and the situation I described doesn't favor any kind of build I think. I haven't even fought the Eldritch Scion before, so I don't know what his arena looks like. Either way his crystals have far too much HP to even consider killing, you simply run out of space and die while kiting 4 bosses around. And I do have a considerable amount of skills and devotions focused on surviveability.
- you either dry to dive deep. Meaning you accept that you can, and most probably will, at one point, encounter a situation, boss combination, triple nemesis spawn, or whatever, that will wreck you.
- you farm it, meaning you have to find the breakpoint where your character can efficiently clean a set of levels with a reasonable rate of success.
Either way, don't keep diving and diving and diving blindly. Use the checkpoint system to your advantage. Your progression is saved every 5 Shard level, have a break once in a while, enjoy your loot, try to assess if you've got a favorable/unfavorable mutator combination.
I'm amazed at how many people are saying "I just lost 3 hours of progress!" when they could have avoid it by just taking a break every hour, or every 30 minutes to be safe.
In other words, you got carried away and punished, and it is part of the learning process of SR, but you can learn from your mistakes! "Overconfidence is a quick and merciless killer", something like that. ^^
As for "how far" can it go.. that depends on the build very, very much. Every build, however, is going to hit a point of no return. SR scales indefinitely which means that inevitably every build is going to reach a break point.
I believe I seen mention by some of the other testers during testing that they had gotten to just a bit over Shard 100 (doing MP) and they were saying that was probably as far as you could get. I have no idea what builds were doing this.
