Go to any respec guy bring up the Devotion skills click on the stars you no longer want.
Or drink a potion of clarity and it will reset everything.

affinities unlock other affinities till you unlock 3rd tier devotion, in this example: wolf of mogdrogen.

If you want both, then you somehow need to make other affinities line-up (other smaller devotions) together.

3rd-tier (biggest devotions) don't give any affinities after completion, so getting more than 1 of them or even more can get tricky.

You can not remove points from a constellation if it is providing requirements for another constellation. Mogdrogon requires 15 Ascendent (purple) and 12 Eldritch (Green). If undoing a lower constellation woudl bring you below those numbers, you can't. The only way to remove points from Candle for example woudl be to build something else that provides the Eldritch you need to still qualify for Mogdrogon. You can't ONLY have the best constellations, so you have to make choices on which constellations best support your build.

you can't refund devotions if the affinity points they granted you are required to sustain other constellations.

the wolf requires 15 purple and 12 green or something, so no matter what you do, you can't refund lower tier devotions if their constellation bonus affinity yield is required to keep you at or above 15 purple and 12 green.

rattosh requires 10 green, 6 yellow and 6 red. so you'd have to pick up some other devotions that yield 6 red and 6 yellow to unlock it.

You need to keep enough lesser constellations that you can support the cost of the greater. Unless a constellation supplies enough of an affinity that it can cover its own costs, you won't be able to refund the lesser constellations you used to get it.

Example - Tsunami provides 5 primordial, and requires 1 primordial. Once you complete tsunami, it can sustain itself (since you have 5 primordial), and you can refund the 1 point in Crossroads that you used to get it.

Now let's say you want Amatok, Spirit of Winter. You take Imp and Scorpion (along with Tsunami) to get it. Scorpion is self-sustaining, so you can refund its crossroad point. Since Amatok itself gives you 1 primordial, 1 eldritch, you can refund Imp; Scorpion and Tsunami, along with Amatok itself, covers Amatok's requirements. In fact, you could swap Scorpion out for Eye of the Guardian, Quill, Bat, or any other 1-cost 3/3 hybrid that provides eldritch, since Amatok provides the 4th point of Eldritch that he requires.

See how that works?

Mogdrogen is a difficult one. He's a major constellation, so he has huge requirements (15 Ascendant and 12 Eldritch, oof), and he provides no affinity. So, whatever constellations are sustaining his requirements cannot be refunded, unless you can cover their values with something else. Rattosh is also a major constellation. His costs aren't quite as bad (10 Eldritch, 6 Chaos, 6 order) but like Mogdrogen, he provides no affinity.

The best you can really do is to find commonality between Rattosh and Mogdrogen for sustenance. Both require Eldritch, so if you meet Mogdrogen's Eldritch requirement, you've got Rattosh's. You'll want to look for hybrid Ascendant/Chaos and Ascendant/Order constellations to fill Mogdrogen's Ascendant requirement, while also earning towards Rattosh's Chaos and Order values.

Assassin's Blade, Mantis, Bat, Falcon, Oklaine's Lantern, Rhowan's Scepter, Typhos the Jailer of Souls, Nighttalon, and Eye of the Guardian all make good stepping stones on the way to Mogdrogen and Rattosh. Typhos, in particular, is essentially Rattosh-lite in terms of requirements - which makes sense since Typhos is Rattosh's employee.

Here is a fantastic cabalist necromancer build. You can alter it to your tastes, but it's very insightful on what devotions and talents to take:

I should note it hasn't been updated for the new expansion, and some things are touch different, but as I said, it's a good build to learn some basics of minions with.

I had no trouble with aspect of Mogroden with a build tuned around these idea's, so it should serve you well.
