Soldier?
but i dont know what is better to pick
if you want to be more defensive or do a retaliation build, pick soldier
i am using solder as my second class
heck, it's even great for a dead simple physical melee build. kinda hard to compete with the power and utility of deadly aim, word of renewal and inquisitors seal.
plus the mastery combo of OK and inquisitor is called paladin, so there's that ;)
The Passives of oathkeeper synergize very well with poison , theres a keystone for a multiplier and the soldiers can be converted to lower poison resistance.
Shaman is also a decent combination seeing as Eye of Reckoning adds flat phys and lightning , with certain monster infrequents that convert to vitality , aether or chaos any combination should work with Oathkeeper. Legendarys offer plenty of combinations you wouldn't think of.
but for what skills?
look at oathkeeper's modifiers, those make it synergize well with occultist mastery
like azunai said, inquisitor is another good match
flame-touched for even more free damage at all times and works well alongside divine mandate, and mortar trap for obvious reasons as that's free AOE damage that's further enhanced if you have guardians of empyrion with a maxed debuff aura
honestly the choices are yours, it's really not hard at all to make effective builds using oathkeeper+demolitionist
i'm not max level yet but i always do my own builds, i'm doing a 2handed eye of reckoning (spin2win) build with 2 guardians of empyrion out debuffing everything, maxed divine mandate on at all times, base flame touched maxed on at all times, and supplemental damage with mortar trap.
i pop ascension whenever i run across an elite or boss for insane damage, and i also have a tiny bit of investment in judgment for whenever i need to knock enemies down.
only level 48 right now so i don't have the build fully fleshed out but i'm roflstomping everything even on ultimate (used one of those new merits)
Yeah poison Dervish is good.
I haven't tried it, but I have no reason to believe that OK + OCC wouldn't be good as well, for similar reasons.
Notable oathkeeper skills:
ascension -> perfect for tougher enemies like bosses, nemesis, etc. at 12 points it adds 195% to all damage, 195% all retaliation damage, 1095 fire damage retaliation and 130 damage absorption for 10 secs.
summon guardian of empyrion -> 2 pets that scale with player bonuses and they are (seem?) invincible. so far I havent seen them get killed.
Haven -> 1 point into presence of virtue then max out haven. 660 health, 10% chance to block, 30% to block damage.
I havent got celestial presence and divine mandate yet but I would assume those 2 skills would further improve my fire/burn damage dps. Overall I really like what the oathkeeper + demolitionist had to offer compared to bwc commando.
