Skip difficulty with new expansion?
So read you could skip normal mode if you wanted, and go straight to elite if you want, but how do i do that?

you need 1 character to have completed act 1 on Elite or Ultimate, depending which difficulty you want to open up. Then that character can go to one of the quest hubs, meet a dude that opens a green rift gate. Takes you to the FG area where one of the vendors sells the token you need. Elite difficulty sells elite tokens, ultimate difficulty sells ultimate tokens.

Put the token in your shared stash. Make your new character. Take it into crucible to acces the Shared Stash and use the token which will give the message Ultimate difficulty is unlocked. Go back to main menu, start campaign on the difficulty you want.

Cult Vendor in the first area of DLC sells blue-ish thing for 125.000 bits. You can then put it in bank and use as another character.

Ultimate difficulty at lvl1 is hard as f*ck. Mobs have at least 5 times as much health and hit about 3 times harder then on Normal. Bosses have sh!t-tons of HP AND can take off least 50% of your HP in a single hit.

Yeah... I decided to start a melee character, which probably wasn't the best decision in hindsight (poison Dervish).

I'm level 38 and not even close to Burrwitch yet. Got to level 20 just turning in the first quest. The xp's are nice, but the rough part I think is going to be devotions.

Just got to try to make it to 50 so I can start using some of these stashed purples...

Oh, and I'm actually purchasing health potions. Something I don't think I've done once in the 3k something hours.

I'm starting to feel a bit like Grava :tdealwithit:

STarting on Ultimate can be done with self found characters, but is mainly aimed at players who already have lots of gear saved up. Due to fast XP gains the difficulty curve is very different and players need a whole different approach to playing this game.
