Same is happening to me and my friend as we speak. We cannot see either of our servers on list nor can we connect by Join Friend button.

Yeah and the devs are not to much help, he will just tell you to look at your ports/uPnP

mhh.. probably two low payed guys sitting at crate entertainment handling the whole situation. x) Had a lot of fun the last weeks with my mate (besides the lags) Do you think it will work on LAN?

I have no idea, haven't tried yet

I'll just post here what I just posted in the other thread (re: i just tested this out)..

Try resetting your routers/modems to resync your internet connections and then try connecting again to each other.

Make sure you then double check in Grim Dawn's Network tab and hit the "Test" button to make sure your routers reported Public IP and the Internets reported Public IP both match.

Do you have UPnP enabled or does your router even support UPnP? The option should be visible in Grim Dawn's Network tab. If it isn't then your router doesn't support it.

If that is the case then it might indeed be possible that Crates own matchmaking server is down somehow. Crate runs their own matchmaking server to supplement Steam's own and whenever Crate's server goes down people without UPnP capable routers then need to port forward in order to connect.

I'll just put this here (Common Multiplayer Issues and Solutions):

All Crate employee's work from home (there is no central location). And I suspect all of them are fairly happy with their jobs. They got a pretty nice gig. 13 employees total currently and a pretty cool boss.

I've read many times that people have successfully used software like Hamachi with GD to run remote LAN connections. So it should work if you are using a similar program.

Well, seeing as I can only see games with "pings" in the games online lobby, I'd assume this is the issue (which tends to be the case when this happens);

Originally posted by Zantai:
So for players that do not have port forwarding set up to work with Steam's matchmaking, we have our own matchmaker that runs in parallel. Sometimes that matchmaker does go down.

Sorry for the inconvenience. As a workaround, you can look into adjusting your network's settings by following this thread:
https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/grim-dawn-common-issues-and-solutions/81943/3

Does your friend also have UPnP enabled or port-forwarding configured so as to connect to you?

BUT maybe I'm wrong and there is another issue happening. I don't actually know, I can only assume based on previous times this has happened. Crate does generally bring this server back up in a timely manner.

As i said ive tried all these things and yes uPnP is indeed supported by my router, it doesn't work. ive tried it all, even Hamachi

Well then that's all I got.. works for me. Hopefully Zantai has seen this at least and double-checked on their matchmaking server.
