Do devotion colors mean anything?
It seeeem like gold mostly = warrior/shield buffs but the rest of the colors don't seem to have much discernable pattern. Makes it hard to pick constellations without consulting a guide that spells it all out. Would be nice if purple mostly = pets, blue mostly = elemental, etc etc. Make it more easily understandable.

That would really limit the choices people make. If there were one path for say... pets, then every pet character would go the same way every time. That's not a good design. Devotions are spread out so that players who play similar characters might take different paths and make unique characters. You should get started on memorizing the general themes of the different constellations and planning your build out in advance. You can plan your character on the Grimtools website and use its search feature to look around the constellation map for something specific.

Devotion colours show you what affinity those constellations are alined with and what affinites you need to unlock them with.

Gold - Order
Purple - Ascendant
Green - Eldritch
Red - Chaos
Blue - Primordial

I wouldn’t want the paths to be that simple but for the love of christ please add a filter so we can quickly find what we’re looking for :(

Damage types are roughly kept together in relatively close clusters, but not really tied to color.

Navigating Devotions without a wiki as guide is a nightmare.

This is missing my point - if a game needs a wikia to be user-friendly, then it has failed at that part of the game.

That's the price we pay for niche games.

Um...or the devs could make it more user friendly. Not sure why that's off the table.

Opportunity cost. Money, time, developer burnout, resources that could be devoted to the next game, etc. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

This isn't ActiBlizz. They don't have billions of dollars. You're just going to have to deal with it if you want to play.

This is the one part about "niche" games that I don't like - defensive fans.

Welcome to the Internet, I guess? That's how it goes around these parts when someone comes on public boards and starts complaining about stuff many people are okay with. I'm not saying that your idea is bad by any means, though.

EDIT: You can safely assume that, in general, there's a reason why x feature is not implented in a game and the reason isn't to spite the players. It has to do with either money, time, difficulty of the task, or because it doesn't fit the dev's vision. And if you feel like you have a great suggestion, feel free to head to the official forums and find the feedback section. You'll have a greater chance of getting the feedback you're looking for.
