Is there a way to change masteries?
I been playing the base game for a while now and my main character is a demo/occultist. While looking throught the expansions i notice the new Inquisitor class that would go really well with my fire base build but i dont want to restart from the beggining. So is there a way to change masteries without having to start over.

Not possible without 3rd party tools.

Not in game, but some 3rd part tools (eg. GD defiler)- allow it

Yes, but with 3rd party tools, such as "save file editor" (which I also use from time to time).

First things first is, you must remove all skills from the previous mastery (so they don't stay there after mastery removal) and simply remove the mastery with the tool. Use same tactic to add chosen mastery.

Here is a link to the tool: https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-gd-save-file-editor/35817

P.S. I think you also need java 64-bit too, but ain't sure since it's been long time I had it installed.

Commands for tool are as following:

class remove occultist --- to remove "occultist" mastery;

class add inq --- (short for Inquisitor) to add Inquisitor mastery;

w --- to save the edited data.

EDIT: Oh yeah, you might wana backup the files too, since you never know tool will screw the save files. Better safe than sorry.

GDStash and GDDefiler can also be used. As Flaming said though, back up the character first.
