combat means a enemy are after you or combat is when you press mousebutton for hit a enemy?
Short History Lesson: Grim Dawn has always had OOC (Out-Of-Combat) Healing. However, Grim Dawn has NOT always had Consitution. Before we had Constitution it was easy to abuse OOC and constantly regenerate our health by simply running/kiting around bosses and thus trivializing combat. Which defeats the primary purpose of OOC Healing, to be used Out-Of-Combat.
Crate didn't want to completely shaft players of the "technique" but neither did they want it to be completely abused as it had been. So they came up with Constitution as a means that still allowed you to do "some" abuse but the abuse would now only go so far. It's primary function is to limit the amount of abuse of OOC you can do in a "short" period of time, and this it does just fine.
As for being a stat on gear, it can safely be considered bottom-of-the-barrel and nothing you need to concern yourself with overmuch in most scenarios.
For the most part right now this is quite true. Forgotten Gods does give the player an option to start off at level 1 in Ultimate difficulty and for that Constitution can be extremely useful due to the amount of damage you can take and how much longer a fight can become.
And don't talk so much Demasked ;)
