My GD Stash won't work
Why is my GD Stash not starting? Upon double clicking it, nothing happens.

I have installed my 64-bit Java on my Win7.

Where's one supposed to get a proper Java installer?

- Humble GD player asking all the way from the actual Java island. :mug::squirtyay:

This is the location I download from..
https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

I always install both the 32-bit "Windows Offline" one first and then install the "Windows Offline (64-bit)" last. Never had any problems.

Installed both, but the GD Stash .jar still won't run.. Any other insights?

edit the path to java.exe in the .bat file so it matches your system

From the official forums; probably your issue.

Probably is some kinda pathing issue. That's all I can think it might be. I just did a fresh Windows install, installed the x86/x64 Java files, downloaded GD Stash, extracted it and ran the .jar file and it started right on up for me.

Did you try starting the .bat file (in the GDStash dir)? After editing the path to the .exe. It's either pathing or heap size issue.

Alrite I posted smth on previous post where u asked same deal, so what I could guess is you must go to properties (right click on .jar file which is bascially called "GD Stash") and make it go open from appplication by Java. Click Apply and Ok after, should open then.

I've edited the path within the .bat, still nothing happens.

Why so smooth. Okay noted, will retrace the steps.

Pathing is the exact same. What's this about heap size? Could you kindly elaborate?

Tried again, Open With Java(TM) Platform SE Binary but still to no avail...

Jave reserves memory blocks aka heaps on startup, dunno the default size, but if it cant reserve that amount, it refuses to start.

Maybe this sheds some light on your issue:
Edit gdstash.bat in the installation dir like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_151\bin\java.exe" -verbose -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar GDStash.jar pause

Make sure the path is correct. Start gdstash.bat and hope that the log reveals something useful

Thank you very much!

Today GDStash did not work (and before it was fine) without having changed anything.

Then following your advice i saw that in the .bat file there was written to delete the GDstash database located in User/ and to restart the program.

In this way everything worked again by recreating a new database.

I hope it will also help if you have the same problem as me.

Since I had the same problem, here is another solution.

1. Go to: C:\Users\NAME
2. There you should find a folder named "GDStash".
3. Delete the folder "GDStash"
4. Launch "GDStash.exe"
5. Have fun!

this deletes all your stored items btw if having already used/saved items in GDstash before and isn't a new setup
