Death Knight Beginner Build - Advice

Hi everybody, I dont usually post but I did need some advice before investing time into this game.

I'm a beginner and wanted to ask if Death Knight (what I read online) was still a valid beginner build since the big update or if there was something more suitable for a more casual gamer who might want to eventually get into more endgame content?

I started a battlemage but it looks like that's not a very good build and thinking or restarting a DK or Warlord? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

well death knight is a vitality based, and easily gain access to lifesteal attack, thats why it feel easier, doesn't have problem with crowd control and have good Aoe attack too. you can check all example of build here: https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/build-compendium-x-forgotten-gods/49673/16

[Halcyon]

Death Knight can be built Physical, Vitality, or Aether, and all 3 are quite powerful. I very much recommend Death Knight for a beginner. That said, Battlemage isn't bad either (I like it for physical damage) so it's possible your struggle is due to the specifics of your build rather than the class combo.
