BWC becomes pretty powerful, even if always "point for point"weaker, but 2 of the good things about it is, no cd, and, you can blanket an area with it, which amounts to continous dmg. This is for instance handy for kiting/"not being in constant close bombat", and the ticks BWC does will, with points and gear, ramp up pretty significantly making for some massive aoe field dmg and DoT
later on grenado "sucks" because, while it does high dmg, it's slow as feck, which can in a given situation be the difference between life and death (and because it can detonate on an unintended target that runs in the way) -that's not to say that you can't use it later on, just the some of its drawbacks, which can be sorta neglible early game, gets a bit more noticeable
