BiS Components for my build?
Hello,

I made a post a couple days ago about my build and you guys were so helpful. I figured out how to load my save on GrimTools so maybe I could ask for a bit more help.

I'm concerned with what components I should or should not be using. I tend towards fire/burn damage and Health.

You'll also be able to see my devotions. There were questions about what devotions I was using but I didn't know how to upload my save on GrimTools at the time. So maybe have a looksie?

I'm level 72 in AOM atm.

at lvl 75 you get access to all the top components, once you have the recipes etc for them, which might vary depending on faction reputation and whether or not that is your first char
for normal/"base" components i would start by switching Shoulder and legs to "Scaled Hide" https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2867, to bring your armor absorption up
then Neck and Medal to Aether Soul https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2823, for some protection now you are in AoM
Rings to Mark of Illusions https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2851,
Shield i'd go for Mark of the Myrmidon https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2900, or Purified Salt https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2857 for easy aether resistance or just toss another Enchanted Flint on for extra damage as long as you're still on first playthrough, personalyl i don't really go much for the defensive components until Elite
Gloves you go either Restless Remains https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2861, Consencrated Wrappings https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2835 or Swap to Antivenom salve and then put Mark of Mogdrogen https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/2899 on your Boots

these are not really "BiS", just easy/decent suggestions, the good stuff is probably much harder for you to get your hands on, and the really good is lvl 75 ofc, but the above should be fairly reasonable to handle/get your hands on

one thing i will say, is i'm noticing a lack of Augments, so i'd definitely see about getting some Mandates and get your rep up with factions so you can at least get the last auxillary swag in place

Well I've just beaten AOM. Should I move on to the next expansion or zip on over to Elite?

I really appreciate your help with components. Taking it all to heart. Should I bother with grinding out the factions now or just do it in Elite?

i'd say it depends on how close you are with the rep, since you likely wont get xp for most of the faction you grind rep for at this point, thus Elite would be better for the remaining rep (which is also likely where you'd start to feel the "need" for the augments anyway)
whether or not you do FG now is up to you
you don't really get a ton of xp for the quests, but the monsters do scale to your lvl mostly tho, so it's not a total xp loss, and the extra rep for the 3 cult factions are pretty nice
and if nothing else you get a taste of the expansion instead of having to wait until after Krieg on Elite..
it's not the most "efficient" in terms of xp/time spend, but for me, i always do it, because i think it's fun
if nothing else, i'd do it for the quicker rep gain if nothing else anyway (unless you already have access to cult mandate on another toon, then nvm for rep)

Oh crap. I just went on to Elite without doing FG because I thought that was like an end-gamey farmable expansion with like endless dungeons and what not. Didn't think I was ready for that yet. Did I screw everything up?

Nevermind: I see that I can go back to Normal-Veteran. Guess I'll go through FG for factions then go through Elite then Ultimate then stay in the end-gamey stuff on Ultimate after that?

no,
you can either go back to normal/veteran and still do FG there(you can swap difficulty freely), or just stay on Elite and do FG when you reach it there
only thing you miss out on is the rep you would have gotten and the Cult specific quests
(there are 3 cults and you choose 1 set of quest. So if you do FG on each difficulty you can try all 3 different sets of cult quest on teh same char otherwise you have to wait for a new char, but it's basically nothing big)

It's not necessary to run through FG at a lower difficulty... ...unless you really want the respec potions.

Forgotten Gods is a really nice expansion.
I'v always found it fun, and the gear is better, in general, than AoM, especially if you play a Fire type character. I also love the look of a lot of the gear such as the assorted Gargoyle pieces.
It also gives you access to the Normal versions of the Shattered Realms and the new Rougelike Dungeon. While you get better loot on higher difficulties, doing a run through or two in each will let you get a feel for them before trying them on the more challenging settings.
Also, if you are looking to start Mules or Alts before moving that character on to higher difficulties, FG gives access to vendors that give you all the bags/skillpoints, etc. you would have earned going through Normal and that sell items that allow you to pass Iron Bits to new characters.
