Kra'vall, Ancient of the Waters
Jeez, in all my gaming history I cannot remember the worse boss than him. I do not know what devs thought when they made him.

Insta kills? Check.
Death room? Check.
Never ending spawns? Check.
Constantly being whitled down with no respite? Check.
Massive chunk of hp? Check.
No thought for class balance? Check.

It is like the worse aspects of game design all put in one. Half of my deaths are solely by him, I just kept exploiting portal into his room until I killed him. Funnily enough, during my least fight, I brought him down from 75% hp to 0% as I had learned how to play, but boy, I was not having fun. There is hard and there is unfair. I have quite a lot of hp for my hero and now I had balanced my resistances properly. I have max resist against cold and 75 ish for all other. I struggle to think how Aether Ray build is supposed to kill a boss which insta kills you if you stay in one spot longer than 2 seconds. Nor I understand what I'm supposed to do when all the other spots are constantly attacking me and not for meager amounts and you have to keep fleeing constantly just to stay alive from constant AoE damage in that ring.

This was the toughest fight of the entire game and I do wonder what those sorry excuses for the end bosses are doing in their sorry caves. Why damn side quest is more challenging to complete and give greater satisfaction of beating that unfair ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than completing entire game's story?

last time i fight him at level 60 normal i need change all my devotion to deffensive, tree of life, spring maiden, shield maiden, menhir obelisk, unles you have confident in your life steal, attack speed, slow resist, freeze reduction.

Grava (the game developer, not the nemesis) killed him. I'm inclined to say, if Grava can kill him, anyone can ;)

I tend to agree with Nightbringers comment: Its way OP, Ive finnished orginal story on Ultimate, and I still cant kill Kra'vall on Elite. Its seems only certain 'builds' can? It irritates me that I haven't picked a second piece of a single set and Im 250+hrs into the game. Do I have to cheat to get a second or third set piece in this game? Very frustrating picking up over 100 purple items and 95% are useless to me.

I agree that the drop rates for legendary sets is bad.....I have completed just one set (Justicar's) but have literally found 1,236,547 Lifegiver Signets, FleshFiend Boots, Bladebreaker Sashs, Touch of Purities, and Bloodfury Spaulders. That is in 2700 hours of play. I guess I can always cheat and use GDStash like a lot of others but that will kill the game for me. I would like to see a more even drop rate amongst legendaries. I found 3 Bladebreaker slashes in one session one right after another in a 15 minute timeframe.

Oh and I avoid this enemy as he sucks. Some of my builds get instadeath even though they beat Ultimate. I did manage to kill him on Elite though with one of my OP builds.
RodHull Sep 3, 2018 @ 3:48pm
Hes tough but really not that hard, my bad builds can kill him maybe they'll die once or twice doing it but then hes an optional boss and not intended to be killed by everyone or every build.

Honestly hes nothing compared to Grava'thul or some of the nemesis bosses imo and dont even mention silliness like Ravager and Mog.

Kra'vall is basically just an icy super powered log. To the OP honestly for someone struggling through the game you probably couldnt have picked a more niche and gimmicky build than AAR, its also very hard to make a good AAR without excellent gear.

If you can't figure out why you're dying, Kra'vall does a surprising amount of physical damage in addition to the obvious cold and he nukes your DA pretty hard on top of having an attack that can potentially deal a lot of % health reduction (but maybe only when charged up). https://www.grimtools.com/monsterdb/216/skills

For one of the completely optional bosses he's not bad. Dangerous but doable with a well-geared character that is played well. This seems to be what Crate is deliberately aiming for with the most recent optional bosses.

Not everyone who do use GD Stash to import their items know hwo to properly build or play, they just have da item, they don't import skill of playing.

Best way to learn game is firstly finish without cheating, and I got all items legit then only started using GD Stash.

Welcome to Cairn. Unfortunately Dev's are immune to criticism and any suggestions.
I expect that in the next DLC, or a new game from Crate Entertainment, players will be killed in the main menu screen.

I get that you are :steamsalty: but the hyperbole isn't needed. Crate has taken a ton of criticism since alpha. Sorry that they don't instantly change the game on a whim because you happened by the Steam forums and made some trolly/whiny posts.

I beat him with 2-3 deaths on Elite with my 2h ranged Purifier. I had no idea what I walked into and since my dude is pretty defensive with all resistances high I was pretty suprised how easy he killed me. I had to hit and run the entire fight sneaking shots off with inquisitor seal on the ground to take less dmg while avoiding the fat spells. Tedious but doable. 1 misstake and you are dead.

Oh no! One of the hardest bosses in a game is hard!
Go try kill Ravager!

RPGs have a long, proud tradition of optional bosses that are way harder then storyline bosses. These are meant as a challenge for more dedicated players, so that casuals can complete the game without ragequitting. They often require a lot of strategizing, theorycrafting, and/or grinding. C.f. Ultima Weapon (Final Fantasy II), Baal (Disgaea), Uber Diablo (Diablo II).
