Is this game single player or multiplayer?

So I have never played RPGs of this type before. The only "RPGs" if you might call them, that I've played are Deus Ex, Skyrim and the first Fallout.

Grim Dawn looks like a great game with a good amount of playtime, but I'm confused over one thing: Can I play this game all the way through 100% on my own? Is it like the games I've mentioned above, the totally single player game? Or is multiplayer/co-op an important part of the game? I would love to buy it if it's not multiplayer focused.

Any help is appreciated.

Mainly Single Player, there is a multiplayer system

All the content in this game can be cleared in single player. That's what the game is balanced around. You can play it in multiplayer as well if you want, though.

You can finish all game content playing solo and with self-found gear.

The multiplayer aspect is on a player to player basis where one person hosts as the game does not have any dedicated servers. Multiplayer can be quite useful for trading for specific items and whatnot. Co-op play can definitely be fun and it would generally be easier than playing solo but it isn't needed.
