Deadly surface and blocked passages.....
Hey,
in act 2 there are some dungeons whit green surfaces that do a lot of dmg. Is there any way to get rid of them or how does one run pass them? I mean either you use some items or magic to survive it or can you actually destroy them?
Also I know there are certain placed where you need to interact and place dynamite to open a path.
But there are also several blocked ways where there is no interaction icon. Are those there forever or can you do something against them? Cause sometimes I see that there is something on the other side....
Sry I am really new to this game....

green stuff on ground you can't do anything about (unless it's actual crystal "monsters" you mean), -and you just have to learn to run past it in a way that doesn't kill you
most fixed ground dmg stuff has "breaks" where you can rest just around before you die so you can use potion to heal and go again, remember potion cooldown tho

you can only break barriers(cliffs) with dynamite,
if there is a solid wall you can't get through, then you either need to find another way around, or you can't get there and are just seeing "decorative" landscape/level design

sometimes you find a hidden wall you can break with attack, like destroying a bookcase blocking a path or crumbling brickwall, but "rocks" you can break will be marked with dynamite
but there are plenty secret areas in the game so try see if you can find a way around/through stuff, sometimes you can (other times stuff is "locked" off until later, like gate in deadmans gulch)
but there will be times where it might appear you can get "over there" when you can't and it's just part of the world layout

Aetherfire (and such) is actually not aether damage, it's "life reduction" damage, so I believe you need vitality resistance and resistance to life reduction effects. Don't quote me on this.

just tried, (to test as curious from other post was discussing) seems aetherfire/ground hazard does indeed not benefit from vitality resist or hp reduct resistance like most said
only tested a few mins/runs, but at a glance i took the same approx 1/7th hp bar dmg every tick, regardless of overcapped vit and 30% life reduct resist,
-so seems aetherfire/ground hazards remain unavoidable dmg, besides mirror or clusters or such "prevent death" stuff

There is no place in the game where you have to stand in aetherfire more than 2 or 3 seconds
And that is only to run past it to another place (like near Homestead)

And no, you cant do anything about it, you just dont stand in it or run past it as fast as possible (with a health pot if you need)
Then what about this area?

There is no place to stand still, no free spot to get to the other side of the green area.....

there is, but that place is what i mentioned, "gate in deadman's gulch", like i said, that place (eye) is locked off til later
the path to the right, serves as halfway point where you can stop up and rest and make it to the gate after (don't bother going there until it's unlocked via a quest later)

all places with ground effect you can traverse can be survived "just in time"/find safe spots

There is a very easy way

Run, stop by the place on the right (which you can clean too, there are some mobs), then run to the end and open the door

There is only a couple places I have not found an end too, one is in the cave system past Finding Elsa Quest with the trolls, and the other is in the Fleshworks.

Sometimes you also have to find and pull some secret switch to open entrance to some secret area.
