Is Forgotten Gods the final DLC?

Or will there be more DLC after it? I remember reading somewhere that FG will be the last content for this game, but I can't find this info anymore.

They promised 2 major Expansion Packs prior to the game's launch. Those packs are Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods, so it's likely that Forgotten Gods is the last DLC, unless the devs just decided that they should continue with this rather than move on to their next project.

We just don't know yet. Zantai's said it's very likely the last big content for the game although they'll be adding smaller stuff like new items, there's a new rogue dungeon coming soon, etc. But they've done 2 already and I think a third would just make the game so long as to be almost unplayable for those of us who like to do all the content through 3 difficulties. But if FG sells amazingly well they may consider doing a third.

And they only promised one expansion as part of the Kickstarter. Crucible was also part of the Kickstarter goals.

From a business perspective we'd do whatever made more sense. I'm not sure a sequel would happen any time soon in any case, but in terms of story telling a sequel probably makes more sense than an expansion. If we did an expansion it would probably be more of a side story like expanding the world lore rather than proceeding with the story of the Aetherials and Chthonians. The Witch Gods still kinda fit, they tied into the war of the gods, they tied into some of the threads we started in the base game and Ashes of Malmouth so that was a great story to tell. I think it was a great point to stop on, but in terms of progressing the main story further I think it would make more sense to do a sequel."

even they create new DLC, it gonna be a year or more to finish it tho. zentai said in last stream the original story is very long so they must cut it from main story. so this is still maybe a plan if anyone doesn't bored with current grimdawn engine yet.

I feel like there is a lot to do in this game as it is now. I'd rather see refinement of existing content and new items or item sets than a third expansion. The sooner they move on, the sooner a GD2 can come someday (I hope).

Nice necro, but the answer doesn't change. Crate have made it clear that for numerous reasons FG is the last expansion for the game. Apart from balancing patches the game is content complete. Whether we'll see a GD2 in a few years' time we'll just have to wait and see.
