Any quick copy+paste tips for leveling up a Conjurer?
I'm just installing the game and want to start a pet based Conjurer. Any tips how should I start my build?

No, it won't since those aren't really beginner builds as they use end game gear. And the only person who thinks they're best starter builds is Requnix.

Also the build compendium has some beginner builds of which some are pets as well.

Thanks for the info. Haven't used the site I linked so was not aware they were end game gear builds only.

Well he claims they are beginner builds but the only GrimTools links he posts are the final end game result. I'll never understand why people do that. A REAL beginner guide would have 3 or 4 GrimTools links for the same build, but in level increments like 30N-65E-100U or something. That way n00bs can see which skills are used for leveling up under each difficulty (and then later reallocated in higher difficulties / end-game) and what easy-to-aquire gear can be used while leveling. Those detailed "phase #" build lists are stupid if you don't post a GrimTools build with them.

Yeah, they don't include any of that info either Zorro which is exactly what new players to the game need.

Thank you for the answers! I have to tell I barely understand the things you are talking about. There is a thing what I have to ask. How should I allocate my stats? I can reset the skills and the devotion but the stats are permanent.
Mostly physique except for any gear you may need to boost cunning/spirit for. If you have Forgotten Gods then you can get a potion to reset your attribute points as well.

Oh nice, thanks! I have put 2 points on cunning but later I will clear it.

Everyone does it differently, but in virtually every build I have I put the attribute points for the first 6 levels in cunning and spirit (evenly distributed between the two). From levels 6-100 I will usually allocate every attribute point to physique. If I find I need more spirit or cunning for some gear, I can usually get what I need through components and devotions. Again, everyone does it differently. The only wrong way to do it is focusing too much on anything other than physique for the majority of your points.

Polished emeralds solve any early problems, especially if you have crucible and access to shared store right at level 1. Putting 2 points in cunning early on will not impede your early development but I like 1 skill focus early to overpower opponents.

Why do you say that is wrong?

Because putting the majority of your attribute points into anything other than physique will result in you becoming hollow.[/dark-souls]

If its softcore your talking about, it does not matter how you build your character. Plus this game has potions that can reset all your points except for spells/abilities and even then, an npc lets you respec for iron(you can respec about 2 times without it costing an arm and a leg from full 240 points).

As for skills though, the raven as great early on, you can get through most of normal/elite just dumping a good chunk into its thunder bolt spell (last ability it gets) and its main atk dmg. Put like 4-5 into the hellfire dog and like 2-3 points into its abilities up until its fire breath ability.

As for healing, you can put some both into the ravens heal and windigo totem or you can just put 4 points into raven heal, ignore windigo totem, and just reley on raven and the dreg self heal abiity in occulost to keep your pets up.

As for stats, to give you an idea, most 1h weapons require 550ish of any stat the item is ment for, for lvl 94 peices. Rings and Ammys require i think about 400ish spirit for you to be able to use the lvl 94 version. As for armor, thats where it can get very high. 700-800+ psy is what you want end game (you will get alot of stats and res from gear/dev trees)

The link i have posted is to a stream named theuberelite. He specializes in HC mode pet classes. Check it out for a good reference to see end game pet builds (i dont fully agree with his build though, it could be safer with various anti death items).

To navigate the doc, mouse over the link to the build you wanna check out, it will provide a link to grimtools ect

I wouldn't say you become hollow.. More like you begin to lack in what your class is supposed to do.. Granted, Most all the builds I need strictly stick with a stat dump of P. while S. and C. are met with zero investments, I personally like to have a little extra Cunning as it is basically where your crits come from ;)

i.e. you die w/o lots of physique
