Can you disable pausing?
So I'm someone that likes to alt-tab A LOT and the game auto pauses when I do so.
It is getting a little frustrating and I can't seem to find a way not to pause when alt-tabbing so I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

there is a setting that can be changed in options menu that disables this. its like in the first tab and has a slider. it is called something like background fps and i think it comes auto to the left which effectively pauses the game at what i guess is 0 fps, disabling the game from playing when not actively on.

I am not understanding something here. Alt Tabing means you are not playing the game correct? So why wouldn't you want the game to pause? I would be worried I die. Just like to see the reasoning why. :)

a friend of mine has a retaliation build specifically made to farm legendaries from crucible which needs no attention until wave 100+ on gladiator, i have a pet build which can do similar though not to the same extent, actually playing those builds through those earlier waves is boring

Oh sorry never realized this.
I just alt tab while loading or moving in general.
Maybe I'm insane for doing this but as soon as I get even 2 seconds of doing nothing (like walking to a certain location), I just alt tab.

Retaliation builds and Pet builds are nice with that too, and DLCs like the crucible has a lot of waiting in it tbh.

two seconds of walking? damn I thought my ADHD was bad...

Side note to this solution:
Letting the game run in the background actually lowers the FPS of other software, like Chrome and Discord. Lets say you allow the game to run in the background at 5 FPS. Discord now also runs in 5 FPS, making it very hard to type anything. Moving the slider all the way to the right, makes the game run at about 25-26 FPS, which makes typing bearable.

Try it out! It's crazy.

lmao multiple years later I just gotta reply to this cause I felt it in my soul. If you don't already just play all single player games with Cheat Engine at x2 Speed man it helps soothe the adhd brain. Or enables it I guess but whatever. It's not cheating if everything else moves twice as fast too.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
