GD Stash Save Directory

I tried giving it "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\save" but it says "wrong directory". I looked around for videos online, but they're either three years old or in German.

That's the wrong location. You need to find point it to: Steam\userdata\219990\remote\save.

I found the Grim Dawn folder inside the users folder but it shows up blank.

Update: Found it. The "image" section on nexus had an example that looked different and I was trying to follow it.

Where do I look for an import directory?

If you mean importing the GD database to get all the item data, then it should do that automatically. Otherwise I don't know as I have not had need to import/export any characters.

I ended up using the same directory for the saves. Now gd stash won't re open citing the java virtual machine not being able to access the jar file as the problem.

The better way to use GD Stash is to deactivate cloud saving and use the local folders!

For me it is so from the beginning without problems.

Befuddled Honey Badger answer is correct onty if you use cloud saves.
Otherwise they are in Documents/My games/Grim Dawn/save
