What's the best relic for Spellbinder?
For now I have Haunt, a transcendent relic. And I really like its "Granted by item" skill that I use as main and first shortcut skill (but not as default mouse button attack which are Bone harvest and Callidor's tempest).

It corresponds to some of my elemental and aether damages and reinforce them. And offers +1 to all Arcanist skills.
Being in the middle of Ashes of Malmouth in Elite at level 79 right now I have no problems dealing with champions or bosses.

I looked at the mythical relics and found only one that could perhaps be better than Haunt: Iskandra's balance.
Offers also the +1 skill points to Arcanist, but the problem is that the granted skill has only 33% chance to activate on critical attack.
I understood that the more you raise your own defense and critical attacks, the less you will receive critical attacks from enemies, so the chance that the granted skill activates gets lower and lower.

Am I right? Or should I suppose that each boss can land critical attacks so that this Iskandra relic is really the best that I should target?
What's your relic for Spellbinder at end-game anyway?

Here is my current build for ref:

Either "Impurity" or "Uroboruuk's Reaping" due Aether + Vitality dmgs'.

Iskandra's Balance granted skill Elemental Imbalance (33% on Critical Attack) is directly related to your Offensive Ability stat. The higher your OA over the enemies DA grants a higher chance that any of your attacks will produce a critical attack. And any of your critical attacks have a 33% to proc Elemental Imbalance.

It would need to be worded like the Equilibrium relic's granted skill Tranquility that says "100% Chance when Hit by a Critical" to do what I imagine you think "on Critical Attack" means. In this circumstance, your DA stat will affect whether or not an enemy can land a critical attack on you. The greater the enemies OA over your DA will increase the enemies ability to critically hit you.

I personally use Agrivix Malice and before that I've used Iskandra's Balance.

Thanks guys for your returns, and Andrew for explaining more clearly how "critical attacks" work.

And the Agrivix relic seems great @Gregor.
Don't have the recipe yet so didn't know about it.
Will consider, and also @FlamingX21's suggestions.
The stats on agrivixs malice say .3 meter radius? So, you have to literally be point blank? It's a nova blast type proc, right?

The projectiles have a .3m radius. They appear something like 3 or 4m from the caster and circle where the caster was when they procced. IIRC.
