can we get something like kanais cube? too much RNG on drop
farmed hundreds of hours not a single needed drop but tons of useless legendaries, at least let us convert set items , its too hard to get a whole set

No thanks, kind of defeats half the purpose of the game imo. Plus I feel like the hidden smiths to gamble for set pieces is more than enough.

I would like a mechanism that allowed you to reroll items you already have. It could cost 50 of a rare material or something.

Also, just trade with people. You made a whole thread and didn't even mention what you were looking for. Someone is bound to have it. And since you have so many "useless legendaries" you must have something someone else is looking for.

What's a kanais cube?

Please keep that stuff from D3 out of this game..

I don't know, that might be a good idea actually. A way to get better items that would still require some farming (for instance a rare violet item from any rogue dungeon boss?). You would still need to earn this new item.

No as attractive as it sounds on the surface this form of easy item aqcuisition was one of the biggest mistakes they made with D3, it broke the finely balanced loot hunt formula.

Half the joy in games like this is farming and seeing a purple drop and wondering if it that one item that will change your build or finding things that you think 'hey i can make a new toon based round that' if you could just beeline for everything you wanted game would poorer for it imo

Yeah. But a lot of endgame players have full sets for their characters. Farming for perfect gear is tedious. Having a way to reroll those pieces (and they could be worse because RNGesus works in mysterious ways) would be a nice addition. those who dislike the mechanism can farm as usual.

You can always play Diablo 3 if you want to play Diablo 3 :steamfacepalm:

Cube, not -exactly-, but perhaps extending the use of shrines to give you the ability to sacrifice craft materials at them in order to get a reroll against your equipmment (up to a limited number of times - say 5) would be an interesting way of solving the problem. Each reroll costs exponentially more material than the last, so it's not a giveaway on rerolls, but it might alleviate the grief of having the set piece but without a good enough roll on it.

Possible?

No please, we don't want to go down that road...

I don't understand the downside of rerolling a piece you already have. You'd still have to gather mats, which means you're still playing the game. A lot of gear is acquired via trading, which IMO, is more problematic than rerolling items you found on your own.

The problem I have is simply that if they implent more and more stuff from Diablo 3 it's gonna look more like Diablo 3, and I'm here playing Grim Dawn because I don't like Diablo 3, I like Grim Dawn and I even like it so much I bought the expansion on release day on GOG.com and I'm planning to buy it here as well. The reason I'm now here is simply because I wanted to start over anyway and want to play Hardcore and Hardcore only, and plan to post gameplay videos here later when I believe it's worth sharing.

But to get back ontopic, Diablo 3 isn't that great, while I don't have any numbers or anything, I do believe the playerbase that's still playing D3 is pretty low, and for a reason. I just don't want Grim Dawn to turn into Diablo 3! When they start adding more stuff and ideas from Diablo then where does it stop? Just my opinion and concern I have here. I've nothing against Diablo 3 and the people that love it, I just like Grim Dawn and hope it stays the way it is.

I dunno, I did like the loot system they have there where most of the stuff that drops is pretty much good for your class. I.E. if you are a Warder, then you shouldn't be getting stuff with aether damage, chaos damage, fire damge, etc.
