To slay or not to slay. I'm a new player on my first playthrough normal/veteran, sword & board type, and I'm wondering what the prevailing wisdom is concerning the Outcast. I've just recieved the mission to put her down.

Don't kill her, the Aether resist she gives is too good imo.

There's little reason to kill her, really. She offers some of the best Augments in the game.

if you are on normal/vet then kill her, grind up the rep for Black Legion and buy their recipes if you like and when you meet the witch on Elite and higher let her live.

No, that's dumb. Her and the Black Legion are not enemies. You can, and will, max both.

You only take a temporary hit in Black Legion rep when you spare her - but that's all.

Better just to make friends with her as soon as possible to get her rep up.

You only take a temporary hit in Black Legion rep when you spare her - but that's all.

So you only lose rep with the Black Legion just one time initially when you befriend her?

I think so, yes. There might be a similar loss in Black Legion rep when you do her quests, but I don't remember.

Regardless it is very easy to make up for, and the items she offer makes it more than worth it.

I just did one mission for her, and you do lose rep with the legion. 200 points, I think it was.
