Can't find corpse dust
I gotta say the lack of corpse dust is really starting to get frustrating. It used to drop quite often, but now I can't find it anywhere. I plow through huge groups of undead and it still never drops. Really annoying because it's a really important ingrediant, especially for making skeleton keys. Is there any good spots to farm for it?

Steps of torment is the place to go. Plus you'll get a bit of ectoplasm too in there

Kill corpses. It's in the name. That's your clue that it mostly comes from Undead enemies.

Yeah I figured that, but I've been plowing through hoardes of them for a long time now and it virtually never seems to drop.

I think I remember getting some to drop off occultist mobs. Don't quote me on that one though.

Well several days and thousands of dead undead later, I still haven't found any. Man I wish I had known you need it for skeleton keys or I wouldn't have used so much of it for other stuff early on.

I have a ton of the stuff. I'm even finding it in places like Ogdenburg, where there are relatively few undead.

If you have used a lot of it on gear, take the older gear that you don't need anymore and have the inventor's apprentice remove it from the item for you.

Of course if I had any in gear I would use them, but I don't.

You could try a route that starts at "Burrwitch Outskirts Rift", head on over to Salazar's Hideout in the east. Once that's cleared, head over to "Twin Falls Rift", and clear out the Arkovian ruins. From there, head on up to "Fort Ikon Rift", and clear out the Fort Entrance dungeon (Faction specific, beware).
That should net you some decent variety of things to kill that "should" drop Corpse Dust.

Worst case scenario, take all the loot you get from these runs, and dismantle it at the Inventor.

Nah I never use the dismantle option because that takes up too much dynamite. I've been able to find dynamite a little easier then corpse dust, but not so much that I can use it on dismantling.

You can buy (craft) as much dynamite as you have material for at the Homestead blacksmith.

I usually craft me up a 20-30 stack shortly upon arriving there with any new toon.

But is it really worth it though? All I seem to get from dismantling gear is scrap, and I've got plenty of that anyway.

People generally only Dismantle unneeded Legendary items as they give the best bang for your buck. It is widely considered to be "worth it" in that circumstance.

The more powerful the item, the more powerful the components it can generate.
