Rainbow Filter Question
Is there a color key to this? I think most MIs are Yellow Green Yellow.

But what do the rest of the colors indicate?

For instance what do the different shades of green mean?

What does Green gray white yellow indicate?

Dark green, light green, yellow. I think is a better MI?

What would a double rare look like?

I read those but where does it say if the "name" in Rainbow Filter is colored Green, Gray, White, Yellow = this.

Do the color codes of an item name equal the same. Green = affix, gray = not good, white = not good = Green = good.

Do you want to look for all green item color name in Rainbow Filter?

I am trying to figure out what Rainbow Filter is saying with the item name colors.

looks like there's a list.

on the left, do Filter -> Library -> then open all the dropdowns under "Color per Group". There's a ton of colors activated or disabled. active settings have the color "switches" up.

the "Library": https://imgur.com/b8XNPe3

Example image from the tool's page https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-rainbow-filter-item-highlighting/42765:

So from this sample image,

the first item
Warder's Preserver Cuirass of Balanced Steel
Warder's (dark green) = Rare item affix: https://www.grimtools.com/db/search?query=warder's&in_description=1&exact_match=0 stats change based on level of item
Preserver Cuirass (white) = just the name of the item itself
of Balanced Steel (green) = "other properties" https://www.grimtools.com/db/search?query=of%20balanced%20steel&in_description=1&exact_match=0

my Chilled Kilrian's Skullbreaker of Alacrity https://imgur.com/EEBxVQB
Chilled (yellow):cold damage
Kilrian's Skullbreaker (olive): Rare Monster Infrequent (usually shows up bright green in normal)
of Alacrity (yellow): Attack Speed

I guess the idea of the white is not exactly a "not good", WareBare's idea of "common/normal" items can still be "game rare", like the axe in this pic, just not the desired Monster Infrequents. Same with the grey (actually WB calls it silver). If you are looking for a specific affixes, the colors just help them stand out more and you quickly assess and you can ignore drops that adhere to your basic GD item filter settings, if you don't hoover stuff up like I do, Some affixes only show up on "game rare" items and could potentially be better than epics (dunno about legendaries).

side note, my Kilrians dropped from veteran before the FG expansion (possibly before Ashes) when Kilrian would exactly match your level. I just killed him again, and looks like he maxed out at 43, meaning in order to get a lv 52 Kilrian's you'll have to now kill him on Elite. I suppose this is a legacy unintented consequence. Since I'm still not on elite, my current drops haven't come close to the dmg of these maces.

Thanks so much for the detailed info. Makes more sense now. Seems I will still need to closely look at everything just to confirm.

Much appreciated.
