2 New Classes - Any Ideas?
As we all know, Crate Entertainment has announced 2 new classes they're working on for a big 2017 update. They have named one as the Inquisitor class, which sounds very exciting, original, and fitting well into the game. We definitely need more ranged builds to make use of all those guns. But what about the other class? They gave a clue that both classes are already in the game. So, we have Inquisitor Creed. Let's take a look at some of the other (mostly non-hostile) NPC classes.

Assassin/Blade - Ulgrim says he is "an assassin, the First Blade of the Emperor." But we have the Nightblade already.

Necromancer - Kalderos. But do we really need another summoner? Nah. And it's currently being done by... others.

Inventor/Tinkerer - Kasparov. Engineer has been done. And doubtful that it would be a service npc class.

The Outcast - Now that could be interesting.

Outlaw - Plenty of those around. We need another gunslinger! But Outlander has been done.

Seamstress - lol, just kidding. Sorry Constance, not that it isn't a legitimate profession.

Legionaire - As much as I like The Black Legion, I doubt if it would be a faction type, so that rules out The Legion, Rovers, Kymon's Chosen, Order of Death's Vigil, Homesteaders, and Devil's Crossing. But, it could be a sub-type from one of the factions, like The Chosen, A Holy Paladin type. But Crusader has been done. Or a Deathmark from The Order, but again, Nightblade.

Ok, out of ideas for now. Will add more as I think of them. Let me know what you think, I'm guessing someone is bound to guess it right.

**Edit: A summary of some of the ideas posted**

So far I think the most likely candidates are:

1. Necromancer/Witch - Aether/Cold based undead horde summoner. A focus on short-lived hordes rather than long term pets. Could even be a second melee caster, make use of those off-hand effigies and totems.

2. Assassin/Blade - Chaos/Poison. (Aether?) Speed/Stealth. If the Inquisitor will be the second potential Dual-Wield Marksman, then a second Dual-Wield Melee would make sense.

3. Inventor/Engineer - Chemicals, mech-tech, golems. Could be fun. But would probaby require the most changes from the devs.

4. Holy Warrior/Paladin - But really only if they invented a new type of damage, like Sun or Light. And I doubt that will happen. Would have to edit loot across the board. Same with a possible Holy Man/Priest or Exorcist type. Although... An Exorcist would fit very well into the lore... Also, the roles Arbiter and Justicar are mentioned in lore and set items, but there is no actual NPC present by those titles that I know of.

5. Bounty Hunter/Sharpshooter - To utilize those crossbows. Get some range buffs. But Inquisitor is already the new ranged class, hopefully they will make good use of them.

6. Lycanthrope - Because a werewolf would be so cool. But I can't think of any currently in the game. And that is the only clue we have from Crate, the new class is already in the game. However, they don't specify that it's an NPC class, I only assume so, since the Inquisitor is an NPC. If they went the Monster as a Class route, the sky is the limit.

They could make that work. And there are alchemists in the game, so it fits the clue. Master of chemicals, unctions, get buffs from potions. Seems like it would be a healer/team buffer, more for multi than solo. But chemicals can also be very destructive. And fun. :)

Elemental - turn into elemental. Lightning Elemental ~~ one for each element.
Pets. If I am Chaos Elemental and have 1 chaos pet summoned they heal. my chaos element, and the Fire elementals attack.

Beast - Beoworld. Albeeno Vampire (Dungeon Keeper 1) Drako Dracula (Talos Chaos Dracula)

Okay, so was just playing in the new Port Valbury area and noticed at least 3 new attacks, all Aether based:

1. Aether Bomb - like Grenado, but made of Aether.

2. Aether Sigil - or Rune. Maybe a Curse type, I just noticed a green rune above my head as the health drained.

3. Aether Storm - like Wind Devil, but made of Aether. This one was particularly devastating, as it follows you around.

I really think these new Aether attacks will be relevant to the new unrevealed class.

Also, if going to Port Valbury, make sure to have good Aether resistance.
It's like The Conflagration x10.

I really loved the necro from D2. I had an unstoppable army of skeletons at my command.

Guess which boss ended that playthrough like a brick wall... :steamfacepalm:
