Is it possible to turn hostile against them when you are on friendly terms with them? I didn't know they were a bunch of windigo people. So now i want to kill them.

Yes, in another difficulty. If you are friendly with them in normal, you can turn against them in elite or ultimate.

Once you get friendly, that's it for that difficulty. There's even text you can choose stating that you'll stop them but after the main quest giver states that they've become stronger, your only response is that you might as well see it through to the end. Keep in mind all the major mobs you've killed up to that point, and when he states that they've become stronger, you back down like a little b!tch.

When you change to hostile in next difficulty previous difficulty will switch too, at least the way mobs and cellar work. So you will be hostile to them in normal too, technically.

That see through is even better when it goes till looting Mask. Some old Wendigo phah, but Scorv? Nah, stronger Scorv is scary :)

Really? Might actually do that now that I have all the faction blueprints. Have all the blueprints from all factions, just have to farm the dropable ones now.

Weeelll, maybe you should have paid attention to the clues before hastily joining them, because the clues were there. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait until the next difficulty to make a different choice.

It was kind of overdone really. I mean - in the middle of a swamp/forest full of things which more or less all want to eat you, you find... Mayberry? Hell no.

There's also at least 2 lore notes you can find before making the decision that hint at their true nature. If you're going to blitz through content and not pay attention, don't be suprised if you're not fully informed about difficult moral decisions.

Yeah, I got "cannibal" vibes from them immediately. Still aligned with them because I want their faction-exclusive items.
