Just the first difficulty one playthough? Maybe 20 hours or so. Depending on how much you rush.

Alright thank you.

Depends on whether you explore every detail or just rush to the final battle.

Seriously, if you go through all the acts ... and this is pre-expansion, mind you ... and explore every area and run every quest, I'd guess well over 130 hours of play time. That's for the first time run through, on Veteran mode.

That seems way low. As someone who started a new game yesterday and has been through the first acts many times it still took me about 7 to 8 hours or so just to get through Cronley's hideout.

I also try and uncover every inch of the map and kill every last creature as I go.

That said I think the 100 plus estimate from the previous poster is way too high. at least just to make it through the story on a single difficulty level.
I think I probably put close to 50 hours on my first, actual full play through (pre new DLC). It's very easy to sink tons of time into this game with all the different builds and all the side quests available. At 16 hours, I may be through the first act and starting into the second act. I could probably cut that time down to 10 hours if I really wanted to, but that might mean skipping side quests and not running through the whole map areas.

I haven't had much time yet since the DLC release, but the first 3 hours I've spent and I'm only about 1/4 of the way through on my way to the Warden.

Well right, it obviously varies depending on how long you milk it. Ask some skyrim players how long it takes to play that game and you will get anything from 40 hours to 1000 lol.

I was answering as someone who doesn't do the higher difficulties, won't have access to the additional faction quests because won't be farming rep, won't likely be doing the hidden path, won't be uncovering every inch, etc.

I'd guess it would take the average person around 20ish hours.

Maybe I'm underestimating a bit, but there are many players who will just bee-line to all the major quests and any convenient quests along the way.

Depends. I'm the type that likes to explore every road, caves and hills. I'm 50 hrs and not even 30% complete with the game. Let alone try any of the other 6-8 classes. Replay ability is limitless. IMO

Well you can rush it skipping all side quests and be done in less than 10 hours. Or you could do every quest and explore everything. Still possible in about 10 hours (my record time was ~10 hours) that is assuming you know the shortest patchs and exactly where to go and have strong character with transfered items.

First playthrough will take much more time. You won't have as good build and knowledge needed to save time. It might
Easily be 50+ hours on first playthrough i think it took me ~75 hours first time...

I first encountered Log at around the 50 hour mark, if memory serves, and that was with another 30 hours ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with other masteries on top of it.
Even without the two additional NG+ modes that would have meant the game was worth its price. Now, with the sale going on and an expansion (like, an actual expansion, not some one-quest dlc thingy) buying Grim Dawn is probably the best value for your money if you are even remotely interested in aRPGs.

I'd wager that I have a fairly good idea of how long it "should" take most people to do a fairly thorough exploration of Norm/Vet for their very first time (from a purely single-player perspective) and that number would normally be 30-40 hours. There are exceptions to that rule however who take double that time.

People who don't care about exploration and are in it simply to go from point A to point B (and perhaps are arpg vets as well) would likely be more around 20hours or less.

Repeated playthrus as you gain experience with the game and know what's what would cut this time down some more and more for both types of players.

Depends on how you play. I farm for gear ... and farm, and farm and ... you have no idea how long it took me to get the final piece of the Praetorian gear set.

I also insist upon hitting every piece of the map, and getting to at least Honored status with every faction I can. Which means every time I do something for the Outcast, I need to do a Black Legion bounty to offset the rep loss.

Ack! My OCD is showing!

Yep. I gave a lower estimate number mainly because I've always found it annoying when people (not just players, but developers/publishers) greatly inflate the number to try and give more worth to a game. "Adds 80 hours of content!" average player beats it in 32...

As for my own reference. I always full clear normal including the honored faction quests, so adding in a few bounty rep runs to get rep up. The new character I started just hit level 52 and has cleared all of the base vanilla content except last 2 rogue dungeons. Just passed the 11 hour mark.

Yes, that number is lower because of my experience, but again, that is full clear including getting reps up to honored. I have no doubt there are plenty of players who hop through normal at ~20-25 with no prior experience if they are only doing 80% of the content (main quests and any convenient side quests along the way).

Started yesterday. Act1 (i suppose that was act 1) took me 5hours now with exploring everything and killing everything. So i guess 20-25h is a pretty good estimation.
