Gear suggestions for Chaos Warlock?
Building a chaos warlock around Chaos damage (Aether ray with chaos conversion, Solael's WItchfire, and Doom Bolt as the offensive skills). Looking through the database now but I'm not seeing any gear sets yet that wont take my weapon slots. Hoping to use Mythical WItchstalker and Mythical Codex of Lies as my weapons, so any gear suggestions, especially sets that leave those slots open, are greatly appreciated.

I ask here because the database has a LOT of items so its easy to miss something

following what you want

dropping codex of lies and witchstalker for black flame

dropping them for harbinger (more of an auto attack build with doom bolt)

better version of the above that uses demo instead of arcancist.

Interesting suggestions. I mainly looked away from black flame because I dont really wanna be in melee range if I dont have to be. Gonna have to take a closer look at the harbinger build since you took a lot of skills that I didnt, and didnt max arcanist like I did. I'm way too far in to change classes (and aether ray is one of the main reasons I'm making this build.

Definitely gotta take a closer look at some of that gear and compare it to the Mythical Clairvoyant set (Covenant of Three is a really nice hat)

You also went in the opposite direction I did on the devotions. I went for defensive stuff in the upper right mainly with Throne from the bottom right.

Thank you for the info. Got a lot of comparing and gear testing to do.

Put a riftstone on a piece of gear and you will be able to use Chaos Strike. This screenshot is from a warlock with basically no chaos damage. I have gotten higher damage on other characters.

Yes it puts you in melee range, but it works something like the Nightblade Shadow Strike. You blaze in screaming "Banzai!", then toss up Mirror and kite. Lots of fun for the whole family!

OK, so it's basically a party trick, but I am easily amused.

:steamhappy:

no problem, you can actually take points out of masteries now with the expansion, just not switch them.I didn't max arcanist because there's only 4 skills at high, two exculsive skills for aether or elemental damage, an ARR modifier that makes it's usage not only higher but raise during use as well(and the stats aren't amazing either, just flat vit damage, percent aether daamge, percent fire damage, and crit damage which is the best thing on that), and devastion, but that's fire and aether damage so i assumed you didn't want it. So then the only reason to max arcanist were base stats, which aren't that much for just 10 points, you do get 105 attribute points so that's not an issue, and the hp is only 200, you get more tank from putting those points into SoP. the second harbinger build was more of a better version should you want to do a build later focusing on it than an actually suggestion for you to do with this character.
