Basicly anywhere really, but best bets are to loot the scrap piles. Just got to be lucky.

It can be a bit scarce at first, but scrap can drop from anything. I think I have something like 200 scrap amassed in my common stash, and that's after repairing all those bridges and whatnot.

They can drop from pretty much anything. Scrap piles have a very high chance of dropping scrap, and the Old Dump has scrap piles that 100% chance drop scrap.

Later on, dismantling items using dynamite will get you lots of scrap. However, I only recommend dismantling blues and above since you mainly want the components.

If you are trying to repair the bridge in Burrwitch Outskirt, you are not meant to have so many scraps in your first playthrogh. You will have lots of scraps on later level. Heroes, bosses, chests, barrels and crates have chance to drop scraps. Venders tend to have one or two in store.

You can buy scrap from certain NPCs too
