UpNP "Not Available" (Help)
I'm not all too tech savvy, was hoping someone could help with this. I already Port Forwarded and double checked that it was the correct ports. UPNP is enabled, but when I open up the game it says "UPNP Status: Not Available." I already made firewall exceptions and I've never had issues with ports on Steam, so I can't help but wonder if I need to enable something in the game files or something because I've done everything I can find to do to make it available... and yes... I've restarted my game.

I might just do single player, but I at least wanted to have the option of multiplayer.

The UNPNP referred to is/should be your modem/router you got from your ISP unless you have installed a router. Some modems support this feature, others claim to, but dont, and others just dont use it at all.

Have you tried MP at all? Whats happening with it?

I haven't tried hosting or joining, but when I pinged the MP's available, many appeared.

First of all, there's no need to port forward if UPnP is enabled. The reason UPnP is even a 'thing' is as an 'ease of use' feature for people that don't know how to configure their router's settings, or don't know which port the application requires for traffic passthrough.

If you're manually forwarding port 27016 for TCP and UDP traffic as well as attempting UPnP config, that could be causing an internal resource conflict.

Also, just because you were able to query the master server for an updated server list doesn't mean you have forwarding working correctly.

tl;dr - Use UPnP OR manually port forward yourself. I'd recommend the latter if you're able.

Knowing the make and model of your router will probably be requried for further tech support from anyone here.

e: One thing to add, like mikey mentioned, not all routers support UPnP. Most do however. That being said, just because a router supports it, doesn't mean it's automatically enabled; just something to keep in mind.

Like I mentioned before, I highly suggest you don't bother with uPnP, and try to find a guide on google for your router detailing the steps to properly port forward.

I do know how to port forward on the router (It's a CGNM-RES Hitron). I already did it. And supposedly it does have UPNP enabled, though I'd def rather not disable it for fear of having to port forward many, many other games if the UpNP is working for even a few. Surely there's a way around this.

IDK, the data sheet does not say its supported - http://www.hitron-americas.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/CGNM-2250-datasheet3.pdf

I have collected alot of info in this guide about past issues since GD arrived on Steam. Maybe something in there will help. Look under MP issues. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=700083557

Hopefully something will get you up and running.
