Crucible loot drops?

Is crucible the best way to farm high end gear? or what would you guys suggest? and can any legendary drop from crucible? or only a certain loot table? Thanks =3

crucible is a good way to farm for legendaries, since finishing wave 150 is guaranteed to drop you at least 1 legendary on the first difficulty (aspirant), 2 on challenger and 3 on gladiator.

As far as I know, every single epic and almost every single legendary can drop in the crucible. On Elite and Ultimate campaing difficutly, the bosses of the challenge dungeons (steps of torment, bastion of chaos, port valbury) have specific and very rare legendary drops that only they can drop. So you won't find those in the crucible.

But the crucible has the added bonus, that you can find max lvl legendaries (lvl 75 requirement) on the first difficutly, since the mobs always scale with the player level, unlike in the campaign.

But you should know that crucible is quite a lot more challenging than playing the campaign. Mostly since there are a lot more mobs per wave later on, several champions and bosses at the same time and even nemesis mobs.


I personally would say that the crucible is the best way to farm for legendaries, but there might be other farming methods I'm unaware of.

Yeah, I think pretty much everyone agrees that the Crucible is one of the best ways to farm Legs.

Do you know if you get better loot (epics and legendaries and stuff) If you collect after completing a set of waves or dieing part way into the next set? Like collect at 50 rather than dieing at 55.

From my experience most of the time its better to stop at 50 then try to continue and fail

Yes, when you die in the crucible, you loose the biggest (center) chest in the treasure room and you get less tributes. So it is definitely better to stop yourself when you start feeling uncomfortable while farming.
