Possessed Archmage

Where is a good spot to farm these guys (currently in elite)? I need their rare drop, Ascended Diadem, for crafting purposes.

Plains of Strife and Conflagration come to mind.

Ty. Ran all through the plains of strife,a nd port valbury earlier and no luck. they spawned, but no drops. I'll try the plains next, once i get there. Also seems like it's easier to farm. Less aetherfire and easier to access. XD

There is some small groups of aetherials and possessed mages right next to the Blood Grove portal. There's probably 2-3 groups on your way to that fort north of the aether mines there (fort haron is it?).
There's only a couple, but they should be easy to reach and may provide good stops along your farming route.

Otherwise there's several groups of aetherials going North-East from the Gates of Necropolis portal. Basically just follow the South-East wall of the necropolis until you run into the ch'thonian guys.

Came here looking for the same thing. The possessed archmages drop the diadem needed for a helm recipe. I searched through the port Valbury area beyond the conflagaration (skeleton Key required) and luckily 2 dropped, but more importantly the hidden vendor in the final area sells them.
