How do I open the Fort Ikon Prison?

I just killed Commander Lucius, read the letter, and want to talk to Anasteria, but the prison entrance is still sealed.... do I have to accept the quest to kill her? If i do that, is there a possibility to spare her?

Killing her lets you farm her as a boss. Eventually you can get a http://gracefuldusk.appspot.com/items/8888-Outcast's-Secret to drop, the only way to get the item.

Sparing her will open up more quests, which send you to various rogue dungeons. Plus some additional lore tidbits. And you get access to her shop for more augment choices.

I usually spare her, because the quests are nice xp's and there is no good reason to kill her unless you really want the hat.

Yeah tbh keeping her alive is preferable her dungeon is an ok xp grind but there are better ones, and her hat is nice but very rare, also she is a pita to kill as a melee toon.

Only downside to helping her is a slight hit to your black legion reputation but a few bounties normally offsets it

She's good alive, but i feel like IM missing out on not getting her dungeon
They should patch a secret prison mission

I just killed her with 1 toon (arcanist since their aether resist is easy to raise) and befriended with the rest.

Well, seeing as this discussions seems to have been resurrected: I like being friendly with her because she has some really nice +aether dmg and res items, and some pretty neat augments (It's been a while since i last visited her store, but i recall seeing an augment that gave +aether, + vitality, and either lifeleech or -aether res for hit enemies)

wow,. I should stop by here again the malmouth and ugdenbowl coven of the three and more were over exhausting. The last boss in valley of the oasis is difficult to beat as arcanist - 99% 1% inquisitor
even with legendary items, level 79... it's really rough,

and I wasted a celestial essence thinking i can summon those pitlords at an altar... :/ level 86 vs 79. I was no other words for it , but monster-molested from a star-born demon.. it was insane.. one smash. Hulksmash> incinerated on the spot. Gone. Out of existence.. :( i try with vet mode off- same story on the morgondeth, or something of that name.. Oasis ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

pit of the Magi also has two heroes, and it's one hit death for arcanist too,,, :( devotions were vampiric, and boosting all aether damage, resist, devastation overlevelled thanks to items, I just can't take these end people on as this, i failed inquisitor ;(
