Shroud of Illusion

I am playing with my friend and he is using shroud of illusion chest armor.
When he turns the skill 'Ward of Illusion' granted by item it does not work on me, but it works on him and my summons.
Yes, ive checked if its maybe a visual bug not registering the aura on my buff board but i do not get any defensive ability to my tooltip.

This is intended as of 1.0.0.8.

In patch versions prior to 1.0.0.8, auras granted by compnents and items would sometimes negativly effect other players in MP games, and would occasionally lead to team mates dying (which is a big deal if playing HC).

Crate was not able to rerpo the bug unfortunatly, so this is the best solution, to avoid uncessicary deaths.

Ok, just tried it today and it works fine. Thanks for fixing it (i get the buff now as well).

That's the thing.. You are NOT supposed to be getting the buff anymore. As arnge said they removed the ability for auras to affect teammates anymore since they could kill you and they have been unable for a long time now to figure out why it does that.

If you are getting the buff then something is actually wrong.

Are you positive that the buff displayed above your bar is not a further representation of its affect upon your pet/s? I have never tested it myself so I am not certain of how it displays in this case.

It's possible that Shroud wasn't affected by the component update however. Looking at its characteristics

It is entirely possible that the changes were not meant to affect this item.

Part of Zantai's above quote makes me feel that this is so..

Yeah, i just looked up the item again, and read that part of the post as well. So i am thinking the same thing here. Plus it doesnt have anything that could damage other players which could be playing a roll as well.

If that is the case, then we go back to asking the question of why it wosnt working in the first place. ;) maybe internet connection?

The thing is, when my buddy first time got the item i was not affected but my pets were. Checking the buff description i thought it was a bug that i did not get it as well.
That is the sole reason i reported it.
Today, i've noticed that the buff is actually displaying and i thought it was a quick fix. I am positive it is displayed on me (Since i get the defense bonus on my tooltip) and it is also displayed on my pets.

My line is 200/100 so im doubthfull it is the internet.
