To be honest, I havent paid attention if the music changes or new themes are added, so it is possible that there are some special tracks at certain points in the game(rogue-dungeons and special bosses).
You are right though. It would be one of the few areas where the game could improve a little IMO, without changing the actual game a whole lot.
The early music really fits perfectly to the dank swamps, small hills and deserted villages, but the music for Old Arkovia could use a different theme(like a mix of a pompous and "classical", with a hint of gothic horror) to create the feeling of lost splendour.
Stuff like that.
Not that the current music is bad or lacking, but we have so many areas and different cultures and factions. Having a score to represent the subtle differences would add a lot of extra depth to the world.
Everything else is alright, since I don't spend a lot of time in it like DC.
Perfectly said.. anything that does not change the core game AT ALL i am cool with :)
