Mouse 4/5 button binding won't work
Hella guys,

Hope you are fine or at least better thn me. This issue is driving me crazy, and I haven't found more info about it. Turns out that the game stopped recognizing mouse side buttons in the keybinding menu (and in-game, as a consequence), even if it did before. It is worth to mention that I just changed from desktop computer to a new laptop a few days ago (still the same mouse, though, n keeping configuration via S.Cloud), and the the same problem occurs when running Titan quest (haven't tried other games in-or-outside steam yet, cause they are the only ones I have installed for now). A friend is gettin the same issue, and he haven't changed machine. Also, he's a different mouse brand.

My current -related to topic- hardware and OS:
Lenovo Ideapad 510s
Mouse Logitech m705
Windows 10 Home 64 bits

So, If you have experienced somthing similar, or you now how to solve this or just want to troll a little bit here, please comment!

Regards!

I don't know how to fix your issue, but I know a workaround.

Download Logitech's SetPoint software and set a custom bind for mouse 4 and 5 when you have Grim Dawn open.

e.g. mouse 4 will send an input as if you pressed the letter "Q"

Note that while Grim Dawn is open, it will override mouse 4/5 even if you alt+tab out.

I had the same issue about a month ago with a Logitech G400. The side buttons and middle button didn't work in Grim Dawn, but still worked in other games. I'm guessing it had something to do with the Windows 10 Creator Update.

Like you, it was driving me crazy. The thing is, unlike most desktop systems, I have two mice connected to mine. So in the name of trouble shooting I unplugged the second mouse and lo and behold the G400 started working as before.

Try disabling the touchpad in the device manager, see if it makes any differance.

One of the nice things about Grim Dawn, the devs put in options to select various video, sound, network devices in your computer. Maybe we now need the same for input controllers?

FWIW I'm on Win7 w/ Logitech G700s, and binding M4 and M5 still work. So I'd go with BarkMulch's guess that it's related to Win10.

A quick google[www.google.com] turns up similar problems in other games:

Thank you very much guys. I couldn't actually fix it, but I managed to play games in peace by using SetPoint and the "binding solution".
